Libidoscape

I lay still within the landscape for the duration of 720 orgasms
This performance and photographic work marks a pivotal point in solidifying my libidoscape research. Situated in the vast and arid landscape of Northwest China, I lay motionless for a duration calculated from the average length of a female orgasm — expanded and multiplied to stretch the moment into hours.
The action transforms a fleeting, intensely embodied experience into an extended encounter with stillness, terrain, and time. By mapping the temporal unit of pleasure onto a landscape, the work questions how sensual states can serve as portals of escape from the monotony of the everyday. The desert becomes both a stage and a threshold: a space where physical sensation, environmental presence, and personal endurance intersect.
In this act of prolongation, I explore the possibility of translating intimate, internal rhythms into spatial, public gestures — blurring the boundaries between body and land, private ecstasy and collective gaze.
